Season context: FC Barcelona finished second in LaLiga in 2021-2022, a season that saw Xavi Hernández return to the club as head coach in November. Ronald Araujo established himself as an important figure in defence, making 43 appearances across all competitions, including 30 in LaLiga, where he scored four goals. His growing importance was also reflected in the contract extension agreed in April 2022. This Nike Player Issue home shirt, featuring Araujo's number 4 and Dri-FIT ADV technology, corresponds to a campaign in which the Uruguayan strengthened his place in Barcelona's first team.
