Season context: Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League in 2002-2003 under Claudio Ranieri, securing qualification for the Champions League. It was Gianfranco Zola's final season at Stamford Bridge, and he contributed 14 league goals and seven assists. His last goal for Chelsea came with a lob against Everton, while his final appearance was as a substitute in the decisive victory over Liverpool that secured fourth place. This Umbro home shirt, featuring Zola's number 25, represents the closing season of his Chelsea career and a campaign in which his attacking contribution remained central to the team.
