Season context: Borussia Dortmund finished eleventh in the Bundesliga in 1999-2000 after a difficult campaign that brought the club into the relegation battle. Udo Lattek and Matthias Sammer took charge late in the season and helped secure survival, collecting eight points from the final five matches. It was also Andreas Möller's last season with Dortmund before his move to Schalke 04 in the summer of 2000. This Nike home shirt, featuring his number 10, belongs to the closing chapter of his Dortmund career and a period of transition for the club.
