Season context: FC Barcelona finished second in LaLiga in 2019-2020 and reached the Champions League quarter-finals. Lionel Messi won his seventh Pichichi Trophy with 25 league goals, setting a new record for the award, and also provided 21 assists in the competition. His number 10 remained central to a side that entered the campaign as defending Spanish champions. This Nike home match shirt, featuring Messi's nameset, connects his individual achievements that season with the team's status as reigning league champions, reflected in the sleeve badge commemorating the 2018-2019 title.
